Spring War isn’t just about the battlefield — it’s also a celebration of the skills, creativity, and craftsmanship that enrich our Society.
From embroidery to blacksmithing, calligraphy to brewing, the Arts & Sciences are the heart of what makes the SCA vibrant and alive. This year, we’re once again proud to host a diverse schedule of classes, workshops, competitions, and live demonstrations showcasing the many talents of our community.
Whether you’re an experienced artisan or just curious to try something new, there’s something for everyone. Come learn, teach, or simply be inspired!

A more recent Spring War tradition, the Night Markets are Mordenvale’s novel answer to the outdoor fresco feast. The markets open a couple of hours before the sun begins to disappear for the populace to peruse the good wares of the many merchants that travel to Spring War.
Then, before the sun begins to set, “food stalls” will open and “hawkers” will give out sumptuous morsels that can be eaten on the go as the populace move about the green.

Spring War has something for everyone — including our youngest attendees! Children can take part in a range of fun and engaging activities such as quests, face painting, colouring, and more throughout the event.
These activities are designed to spark creativity and adventure, with plenty of chances for laughter and imagination.
✨ Please remember: While our volunteers are excited to offer these experiences, Kinder Activities are not a drop-off service. We kindly ask that parents or guardians remain with their children to help ensure a safe and enjoyable time for all.
